For the GH‑300 GitHub Copilot exam, the passing score is 700 or greater, and results are normally available within minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours for results and certifications to appear in the Certifications tab of the Microsoft Learn profile.
If the GH‑300 exam was completed on 21st March and there is still no certification visible in Microsoft Learn and no completion email, use the following checks and steps:
- Verify exam result and timing
- Confirm that the exam shows as passed (score ≥ 700) in the exam result/score report.
- Allow up to 24 hours from the time the result was issued for it to sync to the Learn profile.
- Confirm the correct Learn account is being used
- Sign in to Microsoft Learn and open the profile.
- Check the Credentials → Certifications section for the GH‑300 certification.
- If there are multiple Microsoft accounts (personal, work, or school), sign out and try each account that might have been used to register for the exam.
- The congratulations email is sent to the Contact Email in the Learn profile, which may differ from the sign‑in account. If the email link does not show the certification, it may be associated with a different profile.
- Check for missing or mis-linked credentials
- Review the guidance for missing exams or certifications and confirm that the credential requirements for GH‑300 are met and that the correct exam was passed.
- If the certification is still missing
- If, after verifying the above, the GH‑300 certification still does not appear and no email has been received, contact Microsoft Credentials Support so they can check the account and credential linkage and correct any issues.
Note: The legacy Certification Dashboard is no longer used. Certifications are managed and viewed directly in the Microsoft Learn profile, and certificates are viewed/printed/saved as PDF from there once the credential appears.
