Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am writing to request your assistance with a persistent issue I am experiencing on my Windows 11 Home PC. The problem concerns Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock Edition), which crashes immediately upon launch despite extensive troubleshooting.

Issue Summary:

  • Platform: Windows 11 Home (please insert your exact build/version here)
  • Game: Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock Edition, latest version from Microsoft Store)
  • Problem: The game launches but consistently crashes to the desktop without showing an error message.
  • Additional Note: Minecraft Java Edition runs normally on the same system.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Attempted:

  • Resetting the Minecraft for Windows app via Settings
  • Reinstalling Gaming Services and Xbox Identity Provider
  • Reinstalling Xbox app and Game Bar
  • Updating GPU drivers
  • Running sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  • Re‑registering all UWP apps via PowerShell
  • Clearing Microsoft Store cache (wsreset.exe)
  • Testing with a new Windows user account
  • Performing a repair upgrade using Windows ISO
  • Contacting Xbox support (issue remains unresolved)

Outcome: Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the crash.

I kindly request guidance on further steps or escalation for deeper investigation. Your support in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

    Hello N.A N.A,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Before we proceed further, I'd like to ask a few questions to better understanding the situation.

    • May I know if you are having issue in any other games. Especially game from the Microsoft Store?
    • May I know if you have played the game normally before and when did the issue start?

In the meantime, please try to follow this quick fix to see if it helps.

    • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time.
    • Make sure "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" is enabled.
    • Select "Sync now" to synchronize the clock.

    I'm waiting for your reply.

The recent March 2026 Windows 11 update (specifically KB5079473) is causing "no internet" errors for Microsoft account sign-ins, affecting apps like Teams, OneDrive, and Edge. Microsoft advises resolving this by restarting your device while connected to the internet. If the issue persists (Uninstall that Update).

Disable the "OpenCL™ and OpenGL® Compatibility Pack:

    1. Open Microsoft Store
    2. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
    3. Search for "OpenCL".
    4. If the OpenCL and OpenGL Compatibility Pack is present, uninstall it
    5. Restart and launch Minecraft

    Clear/Refresh the Identity:

    • Close Minecraft and the Xbox App > Search Windows for "Credential Manager" > Select Windows Credentials > Find every entry starting with Xbl| (e.g., Xbl|DeviceKey, XblTicket) > Remove all of them > Restart Minecraft

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
