To cancel a Home & Business 2024 purchase that is installed but not activated, the subscription or license must be managed from the Microsoft account’s Services & subscriptions page and then the Microsoft 365/Office subscription must be canceled or recurring billing turned off.

1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used to buy or redeem Office.
2. Locate the Office Home & Business/Office product under Services & subscriptions.
3. If it is a subscription product, turn off recurring billing and then follow the steps to cancel the subscription as described in the cancellation help article.
4. After canceling, uninstall Office from the Mac so it is no longer present on the device.
