For reasons that remain unclear, my Bing Wallpaper app stopped working properly about two weeks ago. It does not automatically download and display the new photo on my desktop.
I followed all of the suggested 'fixes' that were mentioned online, including uninstalling and installing the program, making sure the right boxes were checked, etc. I even asked Geek Squad to try to fix the problem, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
I work with an HP laptop computer using Windows 11. Incidentally, the program is still working successfully on my HP desktop computer using Windows 11.
As things stand now, I can get a new photo to appear, but only after I 'uncheck' and then 'check' the settings box that says "Daily Wallpaper Refresh - enable to change the background image daily."
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem that I described initially has changed. A new image is now being downloaded everyday, but it is going into the library and not on my desktop. In the past, the image would go simultaneously to my desktop and the library.
To respond to your questions above: 1) I am not seeing any error messages or codes; 2) this problem is only happening on my laptop, which has only one account at present - I have a desktop computer with two accounts and the app works perfectly on both accounts; and 3) I have tried the 'repair' and 'reset' options for the app, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times, I have downloaded 'updates' for Windows 11 and checked for 'updates' for the app, checked and unchecked the boxes in the 'settings' menu - none of which solved the problem.

Since the daily image is now downloading successfully to the Library, the issue appears to be related to applying the downloaded image to the desktop background on the affected laptop, rather than the daily download itself.

As of today, I am still not getting automatically a new photo on my laptop computer. I have discovered that if I unclick and click the "allow AI images" box, I will get the new photo on my laptop, and if I check and uncheck the 'daily wallpaper refresh' box, I will get the previous day's photo on my laptop - all of which suggests to me that there is a glitch with the application itself.

I am now getting a new image on my desktop everyday.
I cleared the cache of images for Bing Wallpaper, and I have started to shut down my computer at night and completely restart it in the morning.
I believe both of these actions are responsible for the positive change in the way the app works.

Bing Wallpaper relies on the Bing daily image feed and normal Windows app behavior. When it stops refreshing automatically but still changes after toggling “Daily Wallpaper Refresh,” the issue is typically with the app’s state or with Windows treating it like a problematic Store app.
Use this sequence on the HP laptop where the problem occurs:
Once Bing Wallpaper has been repaired/reset and reinstalled if necessary, re‑enable Daily Wallpaper Refresh in its settings and leave it checked. The app should then resume automatically applying the new Bing image each day.
