Follow these steps to fix the installation error 30015-11 (3221225506):
- Restart the device
- Save all work and close every program.
- Restart the computer completely (not just sign out or sleep).
- After restart, try installing Microsoft 365/Office again from the account or installer used previously.
- If the error persists, repair Office (if a partial install exists)
- Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (or Settings > Apps > Installed apps on newer Windows).
- Find the Microsoft 365/Office product in the list.
- Select it and choose Modify.
- Run an Online Repair if available, as it is more thorough and can fix most installation and app issues.
- If installation appears to complete but shows an error at the end
- Error 30015 variants can occur in the final steps while the apps are actually installed.
- Open the Start menu and search for apps such as Word or Excel instead of looking only for an “Office” folder.
- If the apps open and work, the installation is OK and the error can be dismissed.
- If Office apps are missing after the failed install
- Restart the PC again.
- Then run the repair steps above from Control Panel/Settings.
If none of these steps resolve the problem, completely uninstall Office from Apps & Features/Programs and Features, restart the PC, and then reinstall Office from the Microsoft 365 account portal.
