Where do i find my outlook files for the new outlook?

In new Outlook for Windows, Outlook Data Files (.pst) are not created by default for Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com accounts. Mail, calendar, and contacts are stored in the mailbox in the cloud.

If a .pst file has been created or added (for example, for backup or archive), it is typically stored in the same default locations used by classic Outlook:

• On Windows 10 and newer Outlook versions (2016 and later), new Outlook data files are by default saved in:
  • C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Outlook Files\archive.pst
• In earlier Outlook versions, archive files may be in:
  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst

In new Outlook, any .pst files that have been added can be seen and managed here:

1. Open new Outlook.
2. Go to Settings > Files > Outlook Data Files.
3. Any attached .pst files will be listed; from here they can be added, opened, or closed.

Note:

• Opening .pst files in new Outlook currently requires classic Outlook to also be installed, with both apps using the same architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).
• Outlook Data Files (.pst) are not supported with the ARM version of new Outlook.
