Add Outlook Exchange to Android Phone

Question

How to you add Outlook Exchange to an Android phone.

I have downloaded the Outlook App but I do not see the Get Started button

I do not see where I can enter my companies email address

I do not see the Continue button

I do not see the email providers so I can choose "Exchange"

I’m happy to share the steps to help you add a Microsoft account to Outlook on Android. Please follow the steps below to add your account. 

Step 1: Tap the Home icon in the upper-left corner of the Outlook app. 

 

Step 2: Select the plus icon on the menu bar 

Step 3: Choose Add an account. 

 

Step 4: Enter your account credentials and complete the remaining authentication steps as prompted 

 

Once the authentication process is completed, your mailbox should appear in the Outlook Android app.

Use the Outlook for Android app and add the Exchange account from within Settings instead of looking for a “Get Started” button.

1. Open the Outlook for Android app.
2. Tap the Menu (your profile icon or the three horizontal lines in the top-left).
3. Tap Settings (gear icon).
4. Tap Add Account > Add Email Account.
5. Enter the company email address, then tap Continue.
6. When prompted for account type, tap Exchange.
7. Enter the email address and password, then tap Sign In.
   • If automatic setup fails, tap Continue and enter the details manually:
     • Server name: Usually the same URL used to check mail in a browser (ask IT if unsure).
     • Domain: Often optional (ask IT if needed).
     • Username: Usually the full company email address.
     • Password: The company email password.
8. Tap Next (or the checkmark icon) to finish setup and accept any permission prompts.

If the app still does not show the add-account flow, reinstall Outlook for Android and try again, then contact in-app support via Settings > Help & Feedback > Contact Support.
