Hi @Tim Martin
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
The error code 0x800706ba often appears when trying to sync iCloud data (calendars, contacts, tasks) with Outlook on Windows. If reinstalling iCloud for Windows hasn’t resolved the issue, the issue is likely related to Outlook’s configuration rather than the installation itself. This commonly occurs when Outlook is using an IMAP account without a separate default PST data file, which iCloud requires for calendar synchronization.
Here are some steps you can try:
1.Create a new PST and set it as default
-Open Outlook
-Go to File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles > Select Data Files
-Click Add and create a new .pst file
-Select it and click Set as Default
-Restart Outlook
2.Re‑enable iCloud calendar sync
-Open iCloud for Windows
-Uncheck Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks > click Apply
-Re-check them > click Apply again
-Open Outlook and confirm the iCloud folders appear
3.If the issue persists, create a new Outlook profile
-Open Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles
-Create a new profile and set it as default
-Reconfigure iCloud for Windows with the new profile
I hope this helps.
