Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Could you please open an incognito tab and sign in with your account here-

    https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/accounts-category/storage

    • Expand the Microsoft Storage and Email storage section.
    • See if the storage for 1TB (OneDrive Cloud) and 100GB Outlook email storage is reflected.

If you see the upgraded storage space there, please note that it may take up to 24 hours for the change to be reflected across other Microsoft services or apps where you are signed in.

Joining a Microsoft 365 Family subscription should give each invited person:

    • 100 GB of Outlook.com mailbox storage
    • 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage

If it still shows only 5 GB email storage, the account is likely still on the free tier and not correctly associated with the shared Family subscription.

    Steps to verify and fix:

    1. Ask the subscription holder (husband) to:
      • Sign in to the Microsoft account used to buy Microsoft 365 Family.
      • Confirm the Family subscription is active and shared with the correct email address.
      • Re‑send the family sharing invitation if needed.
    2. On the joined account (the one showing 5 GB):
      • Make sure the invitation email was accepted using the same Microsoft account that is being checked for storage.
      • Sign out of Outlook.com and sign back in with that Microsoft account.
    3. Check the storage quota on the joined account:
      • Go to the Microsoft storage area of the account dashboard using Open account dashboard from the storage article.
      • Confirm that the subscription type shows as Microsoft 365 Family and that mailbox storage is 100 GB.

If the dashboard still shows “Free – no subscription” and 15 GB mailbox / 5 GB cloud storage, the Family subscription is not applied to that account and the invitation/sharing setup needs to be corrected.
