To correct a mistake in the legal name used for the PL-400 certification registration, the legal name on the Microsoft Learn profile must be updated and, if needed, certification support contacted.

1. Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile that is associated with the PL-400 exam registration.
2. Open the profile Settings page: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/users/me/settings
3. In Legal Name, update the name so it matches the official ID that will be presented at the test center (or to the online proctor).
4. Save the changes.
5. If the page instructs to contact Certification Support or if the legal name cannot be edited, follow the link provided there and submit a ticket to Microsoft Credentials Support, explaining that the legal name was entered incorrectly for the PL-400 exam and needs to be corrected before testing.

If the incorrect legal name has already caused a proctor to deny the exam session, include that information in the support request so the support team can assist with rescheduling and name correction.
