Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this. Please refer to the below for the other things that you can check for this issue that you have encountered.

    • Ensure that you are not using or connecting to any VPN or proxy.
    • Logout and login to your account to every Microsoft Rewards dashboard that you are into.
    • Check and try the dashboard on the Bing app and see if it will be the same.
    • Check and try on a different browser as well and ensure that clean up the cache and also ensure that no extension/s installed might interfere with Microsoft Rewards.
    • Another thing that you can check and try is to use InPrivate browsing or Incognito mode on whichever browser you are using.

If you will still encounter an issue after checking the above and if it will still be the same later today or tomorrow, you may submit a ticket via https://rewards.bing.com/support for this to get checked internally by the rewards team. Response times may vary due to workload or other tasks at hand, but rest assured that they will review your case and let you know on the outcome.

Microsoft Rewards redemptions still require SMS verification with a valid phone number, but there are several conditions that can block redemption even if the UI to add/change a number seems limited.

Check the following, as they are the documented causes when redemption is not allowed:

    1. Phone number requirements
      • A mobile or landline number is required; VoIP numbers are not permitted for Microsoft Rewards SMS verification.
      • A single phone number can only be associated with up to 6 Microsoft Rewards accounts per household. If that limit is reached, redemption will be blocked until a different phone number is used.
      • If there were too many failed verification attempts, redemption via SMS can be locked for 48 hours. After that period, try again.
    2. Region and VPN issues
      • Rewards must be redeemed in the same region/market as the Microsoft account.
      • Redemption is blocked if attempting to redeem while traveling in another region or if using a VPN or proxy that hides the true location.
      • Ensure VPN/proxy is disabled and that the account region matches the actual location.
    3. Other common redemption blockers
      • Using a VoIP phone number at any point for Rewards can cause orders to be cancelled or redemption to fail.
      • Attempting to earn or redeem points from outside the current market can trigger policy violations and prevent redemption.
    4. What to do next
      • Confirm that the account is using a non‑VoIP mobile or landline number and that it is not already at the 6‑account limit.
      • Make sure there is no VPN/proxy enabled and the account region matches the physical location.
      • If a redemption code shows as invalid or an order was cancelled, follow the guidance in the Rewards help:
        • For invalid codes, see the “cannot redeem a code” flow linked from the Rewards help.
        • For cancelled orders or persistent redemption blocks, use Microsoft Rewards Customer Support at https://rewards.bing.com/support (from the context) to have the account and orders reviewed.

If all of the above are correct and redemption is still blocked, the only supported path is to contact Microsoft Rewards Support using the official support form and provide details of the issue so they can check the account status and any restrictions.

if you add the phone number option back and/or just let email send a code of verifying for microsoft points. What’s the point of using the email if we cannot use it to verify. Microsoft Dipshits.
