I can't login to my azure portal due to this error message:
Error message: interaction_required: AADSTS5000225: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity.

This account contains my backend services and the DB for my website. Is it possible to reactivate this tenant? It contains all the customer info of paying users. I'm also still paying monthly to Azure services.
I've tried reaching out to support but I can't get past the AI robo-caller.

AADSTS5000225 means the Microsoft Entra tenant is blocked due to inactivity.

Key points from the platform behavior:

    • When a tenant is marked inactive, sign-ins are blocked with AADSTS5000225.
    • Administrators can request reactivation only within 20 days of the tenant entering the inactive state.
    • After 20 days in this blocked state, the tenant is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

    Actions to take:

    1. Determine how long the tenant has been blocked. If it has been less than 20 days since the tenant became inaccessible, the tenant can still be reactivated.
    2. As a tenant administrator, contact Microsoft support directly and request tenant reactivation. Use the global support phone numbers listed at:
    3. After opening a support case, do not submit additional assistance requests for the same issue until a decision is received.
    4. If the tenant has been blocked for more than 20 days, the tenant and its data are deleted and are not recoverable. In that case, a new tenant must be created and services rebuilt.

Because this tenant holds production services and customer data, contacting Microsoft support by phone as the tenant administrator is required; the block cannot be cleared from the portal or by self-service.
