    Hi Dean McMinn,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

The information shown {"Error":"INTERACTIONREQUIRED"} and the “Something went wrong” dialog are typically related to cached credentials/tokens stored in Windows that are corrupted or require an interactive re-authentication, which can cause Outlook to get stuck in a sign-in loop.

To resolve this, please try the steps below in order:

    1. Confirm the account can still sign in on the web

    • Please sign in to the same mailbox using a web browser (Outlook on the web) to confirm the password and account status are working normally.

    2. Fully close Outlook and reopen it

    • Right‑click Start > Task Manager > select Microsoft Outlook > End task > then reopen Outlook.

    3. Clear saved credentials in Windows

    • Open Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager
    • Under Windows Credentials / Generic Credentials, remove entries related to Microsoft/Office/Outlook
    • Restart the PC, then open Outlook and sign in again.

    4. Refresh the AAD Broker cache

    • Close Outlook/Teams/OneDrive completely
    • Open File Explorer and paste: %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy
    • Delete the contents of the folder (or rename the folder by adding .old) > restart the PC > sign in again.

Note about the “Remove” button being disabled: In new Outlook, some app‑wide settings are tied to the Primary account (the first account added). Because of that, the Remove option can sometimes be restricted when the account is set as the primary account or is governed by policy.

If you still can’t remove the account or sign in after the steps above, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling new Outlook.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

I dont get an option to "Troubleshoot", or "fix" or "Manage", i simple continue to get this error. I cant delete the account as it wont allow me to "remove" and the "remove button is disabled.
