I'm concerned that I might be paying twice. My Bank held up my payment for my approval, I gave the ok, and now I'm concerned I might be paying twice.

    Hello,

This is a public forum, so for your privacy and security, we can’t help with billing issues here. Also, no one in this forum has access to your account or payment information.

To get help, open the "Get Help" app on your computer (just search for it in the Start menu). or go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Windows" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

Phone contact cannot be provided, but the possible double payment can be checked and resolved using Microsoft’s billing tools.

To see whether a Microsoft 365 subscription has actually been charged twice:

    1. Review Microsoft order history
      1. Sign in and review recent orders and subscription charges: Review your order history.
      2. Look for multiple charges for the same amount that appear close together.
      3. If there is only one charge for the current billing period, then there is no duplicate payment, even if the bank temporarily held or retried the transaction.
    2. Check for retried/late payments
      • If a payment was initially declined or held by the bank, Microsoft may retry it. This can cause a “late” payment and the next “on time” payment to appear close together, but they will correspond to different billing periods.
      • Compare the dates and billing periods in order history with the bank statement to confirm whether they are separate months.
    3. Investigate unrecognized or unexpected charges
      1. Go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard.
      2. Select Investigate next to the payment method in question to see which account and purchases are using that card. Learn more.
      3. This helps identify if another Microsoft account (for example, a family member) is using the same card.
    4. If there is a true duplicate charge
      • If order history shows only one order but the bank statement shows two charges for the same order, or if the same order number appears twice, contact Microsoft Store Support for correction and possible refund: help with Microsoft Store purchases.
