Hi,

user is having issues with Facilitator in Teams. They have Copilot license and has turned on the Facilitator but during the meeting, Facilitator doesn't work and isn't taking notes or transcription

    Dear @JLimbu

Thank you for sharing the details and screenshots. I understand how important it is for Facilitator to work reliably during your meetings, so I have outlined several checks that can help you verify what is preventing it from activating.

Option 1: Re‑enable Facilitator in the meeting options

Please follow these steps to make sure Facilitator is fully enabled for the meeting.

Create a new meeting invite > Select Meeting options.

Go to the section Copilot and other AI.

Set Allow Copilot and Facilitator to either:

    • During and after the meeting.
    • Only during the meeting if you prefer not to keep saved transcripts.

    Save the changes.

This setting ensures Facilitator is allowed to run when the meeting starts.

Option 2: Make sure the meeting is a scheduled, non‑channel meeting

Facilitator is not supported in channel meetings or ad‑hoc calls. If the meeting falls into one of these types, please reschedule it as a regular Teams meeting.

Check whether the meeting invite shows a Team and Channel.

If yes, recreate the meeting as a standard scheduled meeting without selecting a channel.

Ensure the meeting is not using end‑to‑end encryption, as Facilitator and Copilot are not supported in E2EE meetings.

    Option 3: Reassign license

Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Users > Active users > Locate and click the user account.

Under Licenses and Apps, uncheck the current license assigned to the user, then click Save changes. After that, assign the license again and allow up to one hour for the system to complete synchronization
