    Hi marshall oakes,

Normally, you will get your device back with a simple restart. Windows will recognize new device and will automatically install its drivers.

In case your device requires specific drivers from the manufactural, please navigate to their support page to download and install necessary drivers.

If you have any updates, please feel free to let me know.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

Is the microphone internal or external?

If it is external, does the microphone have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or a USB connector, or is it connected via Bluetooth?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Looking forward to your reply.

Use Device Manager and Windows settings to restore the microphone so it can be detected again.

    1. Reinstall the audio driver
      1. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
      2. Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      3. For each audio device related to the internal sound card or microphone, right-click it and select Uninstall device.
      4. Check Attempt to remove the driver for this device (or Delete the driver software for this device) and select Uninstall.
      5. Restart the PC. Windows will attempt to reinstall the audio devices and drivers automatically.
      6. If nothing appears, open Device Manager again, right-click Sound, video and game controllers, and select Scan for hardware changes.
      7. After devices reappear, right-click the main audio driver and select Update driver.
    2. Make sure microphone access is enabled (Windows 11)
      1. Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
      2. Turn Microphone access On.
      3. Turn Let apps access your microphone On, and ensure any needed apps are allowed.
      4. If using a camera with a built-in mic, also go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Camera and turn Camera On.
    3. Verify the microphone input and volume (Windows 11)
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      2. Under Input, select the microphone to see its properties.
      3. Under Input settings, select Start test and speak normally, then Stop test and Play the sample.
      4. Adjust the Input volume slider if needed.

If the microphone still does not appear under Input after these steps, repeat the driver reinstall in Device Manager and confirm that Windows Update is allowed to install drivers.
