Hello Trudi Covey
Can you describe more detail on what happen to your mouse when you are on this specific document? Did it disappear or unable to click?
You mentioned that you must hit button by mistake, here are some buttons press that may help you revert the condition of your mouse on this document:
Turn off Scroll Lock
- If Scroll Lock is on, Excel shows Scroll Lock on the status bar, and the sheet can behave oddly when you try to move around. Press the ScrLk key once. If your keyboard doesn’t have one, open the On-Screen Keyboard and select ScrLk there.
Cancel Excel’s selection mode
- If you accidentally pressed F8, Excel goes into Extend Selection mode. Press F8 again to turn it off.
- If you accidentally pressed Shift+F8, Excel goes into Add to Selection mode. Press Shift+F8 again to turn that off too.
Press Esc
- If Excel is stuck in a selection/edit state, Esc often clears it and returns normal mouse behavior.
Feel free reply back to this post and update me on this situation, I'll be happy to help.
