ON MARCH 5, 2026, I REDEEMED MY 25-DIGIT CODE FOR MS 365 PERSONAL. THIS ACTION IS CONFIRMED IN MY ACCOUNT ORDER HISTORY. HOWEVER, UNDER MY ACCOUNT SUBSCRIPTIONS, IT STILL SHOWS THAT MY MS365 WILL EXPIRE APRIL 4, 2026. ALL EFFORTS TO GET ANSWERS FROM MICROSOFT SUPPORT HAVE FAILED. I HAVE TWICE REQUESTED A CALL BACK AND HAVE A REQUEST NUMBER BUT NO CALLS FROM MS. AT THIS POINT IT APPEARS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANY RESOLUTION. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Redeeming a new Microsoft 365 code extends the existing subscription; it does not shorten or remove any remaining time. The new term is added on to the current expiration date.

If the subscription page still shows “Expires on 4/4/26” after redeeming on 3/5/26, the most likely causes from the available guidance are:

    1. The renewal did not actually apply to the same subscription that is expiring on 4/4/26.
    2. The subscription status view has not updated correctly and needs to be checked and corrected by support.

Actions to take based on the documented steps:

    1. Confirm which subscription was renewed
      • Go to the Microsoft account, Payment & billing page: https://account.microsoft.com/services/office/billing
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to redeem the 25‑digit code.
      • Under Services & subscriptions, locate Microsoft 365 Personal and check:
        • That it shows either “Has recurring billing” or “Expires on [date]”.
        • Whether there are multiple Microsoft 365 entries (for example, one old, one new). The redeemed code might have created or extended a different entry than the one being checked.
    2. Verify that the renewal is active and applied
      • In the same Services & subscriptions view, confirm that the order from 3/5/26 appears and is associated with Microsoft 365 Personal.
      • If the subscription still shows “Expires on 4/4/26” and no later date, the extension from the code has not been reflected on that subscription.
    3. If the subscription is active but not installing/behaving correctly
      • If apps show expiration or cannot install even though the subscription is active, follow the documented guidance:
        • Confirm the subscription is active on the Payment & billing page.
        • If it is active and the install/activation still fails, contact Microsoft Support using the dedicated support channel.
    4. Escalate through Microsoft 365 support
      • For home subscriptions (Microsoft 365 Personal), chat or call‑back support is available for billing and subscription issues. Use the support contact options described in the Microsoft 365 Customer Service and Support article to reach a technical support expert who can:
        • Verify the redeemed product key.
        • Confirm which subscription it was applied to.
        • Correct the expiration date if there is a back‑end mismatch.

If the expiration date in the account does not match the renewal that appears in order history, only Microsoft Support can correct the subscription record; the self‑service pages can show the status but cannot fix a misapplied or stuck renewal.
