    Good day Gregory Echols!

Thank you for reaching out. Based on what you described, the install is being blocked because the action requires elevation (administrator approval).

On Windows 10 Home, only accounts with admin rights can approve or complete app installations that need higher privileges. If you’re signed in with a standard user account, Windows will prevent the install unless an administrator explicitly approves it.

To resolve this, make sure the installer is launched from an administrator context. Either right‑click the installer and choose Run as administrator and approve the UAC prompt with an admin account or, sign out and install the app while logged in as a local administrator. You can also quickly check your current account type in Settings > Accounts > Your info.

If it shows Standard user, you’ll need admin credentials to proceed.

Hope this helps clarify things. Feel free to post back if you have more questions!

“Elevation required” means the app installer needs administrator (elevated) permissions to run.

On a home Windows 10 PC, use one of these approaches:

    1. Run the installer as administrator
      1. Right‑click the app’s setup file or the Microsoft Store app shortcut.
      2. Select Run as administrator.
      3. When the User Account Control (UAC) prompt appears, enter an account with admin rights and select Yes.
    2. Sign in with an administrator account
      1. Sign out of the current standard user account.
      2. Sign in with an account that is a local administrator on the PC.
      3. Install the required apps (using Run as administrator if prompted).
    3. Check whether the current account is an administrator
      1. Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Your info.
      2. Under the account name, look for Administrator. If it shows Standard user, that account cannot approve elevated installs.

Only accounts with administrator rights can approve or complete installations that show “elevation required.” Standard users must have an admin enter credentials at the UAC prompt or perform the install from an admin session.
