DNS resolution not working for Azure App Service Domain

Hello. I registered a domain through Azure using App Service Domain and added DNS entries to the domain's DNS zone in Azure.

I was able to resolve the DNS entries a few days ago, but when I try today, I'm getting a "non-existent domain" error from the DNS server. I've tried from various networks / with various DNS servers with no success. Any idea how to resolve this?

Hello @Michael Peck , appreciate the quick response here and thank you for providing additional details.

Can you please follow some additional validation steps as mentioned below and see if any of them is causing this issue.

    • Can you please validate if you have added all the four Azure Name Servers to your zone and also validate if they all have the trailing period at the end of the address? You can retrieve name servers as mentioned in this document

    • Can you validate if you have a CNAME record of name "www" which is pointing towards your WebApp URL? Also validate if you have the correct Verification ID in TXT record value of your zone? you can find additional details in this document.

If this does not help resolve the issue. To troubleshoot the exact issue I think we will need specialized 1:1 session, where a support engineer can have a screen share session to pin point the issue. If you have a support plan you may file a support ticket, else could you please send an email to azcommunity@microsoft.com with the below details.
