to MICROSOFT: please return the "snap to" feature in MS OUtlook..
Mouse Snap To Feature is No Longer Working in Windows 11 Microsoft Office Apps
I had to do a clean install on my computer. Before the install the mouse Snap To feature was enabled and working fine. After the clean install I re-enabled the Snap To Default Box feature but it wouldn't work.
I tried unchecking the Snap To box and rechecking it, but that didn't work. I unchecked the Snap To box, restarted my computer, then rechecked the Snap To box. That didn't work either.
I contacted MS Online Support. Many agents tried to help me over a 3 week period, but none of them could fix the problem. Finally, I reached a Level 2 tech who told me this feature has been discontinued and has been being slowly removed since 2025.
Further, she said the only way to get this feature back is to send in feedback letting MS know you want it back. If enough feedback is received they may consider restoring it.
I'm taking the MS tech at her word and hoping MS will bring this feature back. Removing it is slowing me down and is as annoying as hell. I've used this feature ever since it became available and I really miss it. Although it only takes a few seconds or so to move the mouse and click the box, it distracts my workflow and is a productivity robber. PLEASE PUT IT BACK.
If you feel the same way, please add your comments and click I have the same question button. From what I understand, that's the only way to get Microsoft's attention.

2026-03-25T09:10:09.9166667+00:00 Hi MikeM-9017,
Thanks for contacting Microsoft Support and for sharing how this issue is affecting your daily work. I completely understand why this feature is important to your experience. When a feature has been part of your workflow for a long time, losing it can be frustrating and can noticeably impact productivity, even if the extra step only takes a few seconds.
I also tested this behavior in my environment, and the feature is still working there. Because of that, I’d like to better understand the configuration on your side and compare the environment details, could you please share your Windows version and OS build.
Since you have already contacted Microsoft Support and received confirmation regarding the current information about the Snap To feature, as well as the recommendation to submit feedback, I would also suggest sending your feedback through Feedback Hub. This is the best channel to share your request directly with the product team and explain how the change is affecting your workflow.
You can open Feedback Hub by pressing Windows + F and then submit your suggestion there.
Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.
Thank you so much for your understanding.
