I recently updated my Asus ROG Strix R18 computer to Windows 11 25H2, and now all of a sudden most of my games crash on launch or after a short duration.

After playing all my favorite games I noticed that I had some updates, so I updated Windows and my NVIDIA Driver. After the updates, I couldn't play games (other than Battlefield 6 for some reason) for longer than 2 minutes without a crash. Some games crash hard enough to crash the whole computer and put it into a restart loop. I've tried restarting it, re-downloading everything I updated, and ran diagnostics but got nothing. The games worked the night before so I assume the problems have something to do with what I updated but I can't prove it, and the fact that it happens on multiple games leads me to believe its not a problem with one particular game.

Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

Since you are trying to update your device, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade, which will update the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Kindly follow the steps from this link:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/4252110/how-to-run-in-place-upgrade-in-windows-11

Note: If the issue persists, can you please check the System logs on the PC so I can further examine the root cause of the issue?

To share the System logs, please follow the steps in the link below:

Press the Windows key + X, then select "Event Viewer"

Click the drop-down of "Windows logs"

Right-click System > click Filter Current logs > Check: Critical, Warning, and Error > Hit OK

On the right pane, click "Save Filtered Log File As..."

Save the System logs file to your desktop and share it by following the steps from the link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-onedrive-files-and-folders-9fcc2f7d-de0c-4cec-93b0-a82024800c07

Note: You can also use your preferred cloud storage to upload and share the logs.
