Try these steps in order on Windows 11 to restore the earphone connection:
- Check Bluetooth or cable connection
• If the earphone is Bluetooth, make sure it is powered on and in range.
• If it is wired, unplug and firmly re‑insert the plug into the PC’s audio jack.
- Reconnect Bluetooth earphones
• Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices and confirm Bluetooth is turned on.
• If the earphone shows as Paired but not connected, click it and choose Connect.
• If it keeps disconnecting, follow the Bluetooth steps below.
- Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter (for Bluetooth earphones)
• Open the Get Help app and run the Bluetooth troubleshooter. It will automatically diagnose and attempt to fix Bluetooth problems.
- Turn off Battery saver / Energy Saver
• Select the Battery icon on the taskbar.
• If Energy Saver (or Battery saver) is on, turn it off so it does not interfere with Bluetooth connectivity.
- Disable Bluetooth power saving in Device Manager
• Select Start, type Device Manager, and open it.
• Expand Bluetooth, right‑click the Bluetooth adapter, select Properties.
• On the Power Management tab, clear Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power, then select OK.
- Restart the Bluetooth service
• Press Windows key + R, type services.msc, select OK.
• Find Bluetooth Support Service, right‑click it, select Restart.
- Update Bluetooth drivers
• In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth.
• Right‑click the Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver.
If the earphone is still not working after these steps, also check in Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers that an audio device is present and not showing errors; if missing, the audio driver may need to be reinstalled from the PC manufacturer.
