This forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that payment was for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that payment was for and get a refund.

If you are still unable to resolve that payment problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

To cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription and check if a refund of $156 is possible, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Services page for the Microsoft account: https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was charged.
    2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage.
      • If instead of Manage it shows Turn on recurring billing, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not be charged again.
    3. On the next page, select Cancel (it may appear as Upgrade or Cancel).
    4. Scroll through and follow the on-screen instructions to complete cancellation.

    Refund eligibility:

    • For Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal, Family, or Premium purchased directly from Microsoft, refund eligibility is determined after cancellation. Not all cancellations result in a refund.
    • In Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, or Turkey, a prorated refund may be available depending on subscription length and local rules. See the “Countries with prorated refunds for Microsoft subscriptions” page linked from the article.
    • If the subscription was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and refund must be requested through their support pages, not Microsoft.

If the charge is not recognized or was not authorized:

    • Investigate the charge on the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard using the guidance in the refund article.
    • If still needing help or if the account might be compromised, contact Microsoft Support via the Contact Microsoft Support link in the article and choose billing/subscription support so an agent can review the account and charges.

Be aware that cancelling Microsoft 365 may reduce OneDrive and Outlook.com storage back to the free limits, and if storage used is above the free allowance, uploading/syncing files and sending/receiving email may be blocked, and OneDrive content may eventually be deleted after 12 months.
