The error shown during transfer to Pearson VUE typically indicates a Pearson VUE account issue rather than a problem with the voucher or the event.
From similar reported cases, an "unexpected error" at the Pearson VUE handoff stage is often caused by a Pearson VUE-wide block on the account (commonly due to multiple failed payment attempts in the past), exposed as ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK in the URL.
Action steps:
- Try the scheduling flow once more from the Learn profile
- Go to the exam details page for CP-600 and select the option to schedule the exam.
- Complete the "Transfer to Pearson VUE" form again and submit.
- If the same error appears, proceed to step 2.
- Check for a Pearson VUE block
- When the error appears, look at the browser address bar for something like
ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCKin the URL (this is not always shown in the UI, only in the URL). - If present, this confirms the Pearson VUE account is blocked.
- When the error appears, look at the browser address bar for something like
- Contact Pearson VUE support to remove the block
- Use the Pearson VUE support link provided via the Microsoft Certification Support page: https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport
- Explain that an unexpected error occurs when transferring from Microsoft Learn to Pearson VUE to schedule CP-600, and that this may be an
ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCKsituation. - Pearson VUE support must lift the block on the account; this cannot be fixed from the Microsoft Learn side.
- If the issue persists after Pearson VUE confirms no block
- Open a case via Microsoft Credentials support so they can review the Learn profile and voucher mapping: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/support/help
- Provide: the exam (CP-600), event (FabCon Atlanta 2026), that a free voucher was received, and the exact error text seen on the "Transfer to Pearson VUE" step.
Once Pearson VUE clears any account block and/or Microsoft support confirms the profile is in good standing, the transfer to Pearson VUE should complete and the free exam voucher can be applied during checkout (the total due should show as $0.00 when the voucher is correctly applied).
