I am getting Access issue is Sharepoint List

I am the owner of the list as seen in screenshot as well. However it is not let me integrate it with my outlook calendar. I am not in the Limited access group as well which are shown in here.

Your screenshot shows the error:

Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x80070005): 'You do not have permission to view this SharePoint List (IT Portal – test calendar). Contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 401.'

Based on this, I found a Microsoft article addressing this issue. The article explains that the error message (0x80070005) appears when syncing a SharePoint Online list or library with Microsoft Outlook due to permission-related problems.

I am so sorry to hear that it not work for you.

To support you, I have taken another look at your case and found that although SharePoint shows the user as an Owner, the “Connect to Outlook” feature relies on an old (legacy) integration method. Outlook Desktop authenticates with SharePoint differently than a web browser and depends on cached credentials, legacy APIs, and tenant security policies.

Because of this, the error 0x80070005 / HTTP 401 is usually not caused by actual SharePoint permissions, but by one or more of the following factors:

Cached or expired authentication tokens in Outlook

Account mismatch between Outlook Desktop and SharePoint

Missing site‑level permissions required by Outlook

Tenant security policies that block legacy authentication

To help isolate and resolve the issue, please try the steps below in order:

1/ Confirm the same account is used

Make sure the email account signed into Outlook Desktop is exactly the same account used to access SharePoint in the browser.

2/ Remove the SharePoint calendar from Outlook

Open Outlook -> Calendar

Right‑click the SharePoint calendar and select Delete / Close Calendar

Close Outlook

3/ Clear cached credentials

Close all Office applications

Open "Windows Credential Manager"

Remove all credentials related to Outlook, MicrosoftOffice, Office16, and SharePoint

Restart the computer

Open Outlook and sign in again

4/ Confirm the calendar list type

Check List Settings and make sure the list is a SharePoint Calendar list (Event-based), not a custom list that only uses a calendar view.

Outlook sync is often unstable or unsupported for custom lists with calendar views.

5/ Verify site‑level permissions

Ensure the user has permission at the SharePoint site level (Site Owner or Site Member), not only at the list level.

Try connecting from Classic SharePoint view

Open the SharePoint calendar list and switch to Classic Experience (from the page footer or List Settings).

In Classic view, use Connect to Outlook from the ribbon.

This step is necessary because the Outlook integration works more reliably in Classic SharePoint.

Switch the default experience for lists and libraries between new or classic - Microsoft Support

6/ Test with Outlook on the Web (https://outlook.office365.com/ )

Sign in to Outlook on the Web using the same account and verify whether the calendar can be accessed there.

If Outlook on the Web works but Outlook Desktop does not, the issue is likely related to legacy authentication or client-side limitations.

If Outlook on the Web also fails, the issue may be related to permissions or tenant policies.

7/ Check tenant security policies (global admin)

If the tenant enforces MFA, Conditional Access, or blocks legacy authentication, Outlook Desktop may not be able to connect even with correct permissions.

I logged out from classic outlook. Then connected SharePoint list again. IT worked this way.
