Spam Calendar Invites

I am on an iPad Pro and/or iMac and I’m getting span calendar invites regarding fake invoices. These are NOT coming through my email, just showing up on my calendar.

There no option to just delete the invite, just the usual accept, maybe, decline. I don’t wish to have any interaction with these things.

How can I refuse these without declining?

If your problem matches the one described in this post:

Microsoft is aware of the problem but there is currently no fix. There are no Rules you can create or settings you can change in the Outlook client that will stop these SPAM Calendar Events.

Outlook.com and Outlook on the web do not provide a way to “ignore” or silently refuse a calendar invitation without either accepting, tentatively accepting, or declining it. The available actions on an invite are limited to those standard responses.

To reduce unwanted calendar items and related clutter, adjust automatic calendar processing so fewer items are created without control:

    1. In Outlook on the web/Outlook.com, open Settings (gear icon).
    2. Select View all Outlook settings.
    3. Go to Calendar > Events and invitations.
    4. Under Automatic processing, configure how events are added and how invitations are handled. For example:
      • Turn off automatic addition of events from email if applicable.
      • Adjust invitation handling so fewer items are automatically created on the calendar.

Once an unwanted event is on the calendar, it must be removed using the normal meeting options (decline or delete, depending on the client), as there is no separate “refuse without responding” action documented.
