Fix Folder Issues to Sync Notification

I have 49 folders with issues that I need to fix in order for them to sync but I can't tell which folders they are and how to find them. How can I view the list aside from the notification so that I can achieve this?

    Hi @Owen, Julie,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you’re receiving a notification that multiple folders need attention before they can sync, but the message doesn’t show which folders are affected. That can definitely make troubleshooting more difficult, especially when you only see the brief toast alert.

It sounds like you're encountering the “Fix folder issues to sync” notification (for example, “49 folders need your attention”). The most reliable way to see the full, detailed list - not just the pop‑up - is through the OneDrive Activity Center.

Here are some suggested steps to help you locate the list:

1/ Open the OneDrive Activity Center

Click the OneDrive cloud icon in the Windows taskbar. (If it’s hidden, click the ^ arrow to show more icons.)

Select Get Help > View sync problems. This opens a pane that lists each problem file or folder along with its full path and available actions such as Open file location, Fix, or Retry.

2/ If “View sync problems” isn’t visible

Sometimes the “Fix” cards appear directly within the Activity Center. Scroll through the panel to see all entries - this is where all 49 items should be listed with their details.

Microsoft’s official Fix OneDrive sync problems - Microsoft Support guidance also directs users to start with this view for full error details.

3/ (Optional) Create your own checklist

If you’re dealing with a large number of items:

Click Open file location for each entry.

Resolve or rename items as needed.

You can copy the file paths into a note to track your progress since OneDrive doesn’t provide an export option for the issue list.

This approach mirrors the troubleshooting steps recommended in Microsoft’s guidance for repairing OneDrive sync issues: Repair sync connections in OneDrive for work or school.

I hope these steps help you locate all affected folders. If the issue continues or you’d like help interpreting any of the sync errors, feel free to reply and we can work through them together.

As other users will also search for information in this community, your vote can significantly help those with similar inquiries quickly locate the most relevant resources.

Thank you for your kindness and for contributing to the forum.
