Minecraft launcher crash

Question

I’ve been having a problem lately where every time I open the Minecraft browser on my Mac and press play on the Home Screen launcher it begins to prepare but crashes, it’s done this about 100 times now .

i cannot access any worlds as the launcher keeps crashing, does anyone know how i can fix this or get it repaired? I can’t really uninstall and reinstall it as it’s not an app. Thanks
