My mic works perfectly fine, and windows detects it, but there is no audio coming from the connected headphones even though windows says there is audio coming. Its not a wire issue since I have switched it and tried it with a different wire. The mic Im using is a FDUCE SL40

Hi! If all the troubleshooting steps have been followed and you are still having issues, the issue may be due to either the Operating system or the user profile. Just to make sure, try using your headphones on another machine to see if there is no issue with it. Do you have any 3rd party audio software that is interrupting the audio? If you have, try disabling it or uninstall.

If none, try creating a new local account, then see if you can use your headphones properly.

In the Settings app on your Windows device, select Accounts > Other user or use the following shortcut:

    Other Users

Under Add other user, select Add account

Enter the account information for this person to sign in:

If the person you're adding already has a Microsoft account, enter the email address

If the person you're adding doesn't have a Microsoft account, you can use their email address to create one. Enter the email address that person uses most frequently and select Sign up for a new email address

If you select the option I don't have this person's sign-in information, you can sign up for a new email address and create a new Microsoft account. If you want to create a local account, select the option Add a user without a Microsoft account

Follow the instructions to finish setting up the account.

Please hover your mouse over the sound icon in the lower-right corner, then right-click it and select Troubleshoot Sound. Let the troubleshooter finish its task, then this should either resolve the problem or display an error message.

If that doesn't work, we need to remove the Audio driver from the Device Manager and restart the PC to reinstall it.

Here are the steps to completely remove a Device from your computer.

Step 1. Use the Windows key + X shortcut.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. Right-click the problematic device, which is either Realtek Audio, or AMD High-definition Audio, or High-Definition Audio, depending on the audio device installed in your PC, and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device and then click the Uninstall button.

    Step 5. Reboot the computer.

After the reboot, please see if the problem is fixed.

If that still does not work, please visit the support website of your laptop or desktop and then download and install the latest Audio driver, then restart the PC.

What happens when you use a different set of headphones or a headset?

    Go to the Advanced tab

    Uncheck:

“Allow applications to take exclusive control.”

    “Give exclusive mode applications priority.”
