I clicked "cancel subscription" in minecraft and all it did was bring me to help.microsoft.com then I went to subscriptions and my realms subscription wasnt there. My realms isn't even accessible in minecrsft anymore but it's still been charging me every month. I want to at least get the $7.99 stolen from me last night back it'd be great if I can get a full refund since I canceled in February though.

    Hi,

Please note that here in the Microsoft Q&A forum, we are fellow users and do not have access to accounts.

Minecraft Realms is a subscription service, and refunds, whether full or partial, are generally not offered. However, you can try reaching out to Minecraft Support. They might consider your request depending on your reason.

To stop the Realms charges and request a refund, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to buy the Minecraft Realms subscription. Using the correct account is critical; if the wrong account is used, the subscription will not appear.
    2. In the list of subscriptions, look for any Minecraft/Microsoft subscription that could be the Realms charge. Select Manage next to it.
      • If Manage is visible, select it, then choose Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the prompts to complete cancellation.
      • If it shows Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not charge again.
    3. If the Realms subscription still does not appear under that account, repeat step 1 with any other Microsoft accounts that might have been used (for example, if there are multiple email addresses).
    4. If the subscription is found and canceled, check whether a prorated refund is available in the country/region:
      • In some countries (Canada, Israel, Korea, Turkey, and for certain longer-term subscriptions in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, and Portugal), canceling can qualify for a prorated refund. Details are in the “Countries with prorated refunds for Microsoft subscriptions” article.
      • For Copilot Pro and similar subscriptions, many regions allow a prorated refund if canceled within a specific window; Realms follows the general Microsoft Store subscription refund rules.
    5. To request a refund for recent charges once the subscription is identified:
      • Use the refund process described in the “How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription” article. After signing in at https://account.microsoft.com/services and locating the subscription/charge, follow the refund instructions there.
    6. If the charge is still not identifiable or the subscription cannot be found under any Microsoft account, use the “How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft” guidance from the billing article to trace which account or product the $7.99 charge belongs to, then cancel and request a refund from there.

If the subscription was originally purchased through a third party (Google Play, Apple App Store, Amazon, etc.), cancellation and refunds must be requested through that store’s support instead of Microsoft.
