    Hello !

With your Mac, can you try to go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and see if you can see your Office install ? It should be at the bottom of the page, under "Products you've purchased."

After you've checked that Office is correctly linked to your Microsoft account, launch any Office app, and make sure you're signed into your Microsoft account : you can do so by clicking on the "Sign in" icon in the top-left corner of any Office app. Once signed in, the license should be applied to your Office installation. (if you see a pop-up asking you to log into Microsoft 365, close it. You need to reach the "sign-in" button in the top-left corner of any Office app)

Looking forward to your answer !

Follow these steps to troubleshoot Office 2021/2022 (perpetual/student) activation on a Mac:

    1. Confirm the license is still valid and associated with the correct account
      • Sign in at the Microsoft account dashboard with the same account used when Office 2022 Student was first redeemed.
      • Verify that the Office 2021/2022 (or similar perpetual license) still appears under your products. If it does not appear, the license may not be correctly associated with the account and further support from Microsoft may be required.
    2. Check macOS background permissions for Office licensing
A common cause of “connection failure of license server” or similar activation failures on Mac is that the background licensing service is blocked:
      1. Open System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions.
      2. Under Allow in the Background, ensure Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Office Licensing are turned ON.
      3. If anything was off, turn it on, restart the Mac, then open Word again and check activation.
    3. Completely remove and reinstall Office
If activation still fails, remove the current Office apps and reinstall from the account that owns the license:
      1. Quit all Office apps.
      2. Open Finder > Applications.
      3. Hold Command and click each Microsoft Office app (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
      4. Hold Ctrl and click the selection, choose Move to Trash, then empty the Trash.
      5. Sign in to the Microsoft account dashboard with the account associated with the Office 2022 Student license.
      6. From the overview page, locate the Office product and select Install to download and reinstall.
      7. After installation, open Word and sign in with the same account to activate.

If the license still does not appear under the Microsoft account used originally, or activation continues to fail after these steps, contact Microsoft support with proof of purchase so they can investigate the license status.
