Issue with Pearson VUE

To whom it may concern:

Basically, last time I did an Azure exam with Pearson VUE, I was about to not take it because the Proctor on the test center told me that my second last name did not appear. They told me next time I won't be able to take any other exam there. I contacted Pearson VUE and they told me that I should contact MS to update that info. I have checked my profile and my second last name is there. What can I do? May someone help me please?

Best,

You update your Legal name on your Microsoft Learn profile under Settings https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings

If you have an exam booked, you will be shown a message and link to contact Credentials support https://learn.microsoft.com/credentials/support/help#how-to-submit-a-support-request

Pearson VUE uses the legal name data coming from the Microsoft certification/learn profile. The next steps are:

    1. Verify and correct the legal name in the Microsoft Learn / Certification profile:
      • Sign in to the Learn profile.
      • Go to profile Settings.
      • Ensure the Legal Name field exactly matches the full name (including second last name) on the government ID that is used at the test center.
      • Save the changes.
    2. If the profile already shows the correct full legal name but Pearson VUE still does not see the second last name, contact Microsoft Credentials Support so they can check and correct the certification profile data that is synchronized to Pearson VUE:
      • Go to Credentials Support and create a support request under Microsoft Certifications and Microsoft Certification Exams.
      • Explain that the test center reports a missing second last name, Pearson VUE redirected to Microsoft, and that the Learn profile already shows the full name correctly.
    3. For any additional issues at the test center on exam day (for example, if they still cannot see the full name after Microsoft has confirmed the profile is corrected), the test center staff or Pearson VUE support are the contacts for immediate resolution.

If the issue persists, continue working with Microsoft Credentials Support until they confirm that the legal name in the certification system and the data sent to Pearson VUE match the ID exactly.
