I have been in circles with support. I have a $6.30 REOCCURING charge invoice number [Moderator note: personal info removed]. It doesn't show on my accounts I use the investigate option and states that no charge is associated with my card. I reach to support they tell me it's a business charge so they can't help they provide series of links to get me to microsoft business support and each link either needs a business log in (which I don't have because I don't have a business account) or asks which product I need assistance with. NOTHING for billing. They give me a phone number to call which also then asks for ONLY what products I'm calling about. Please for the love of god someone help

    Dear @ILove Bubbles_91, Welcome to Q&A forum.

I understand you’re seeing a recurring $6.30 charge on your card, but you’re unable to find it in any Microsoft account, and you’ve been redirected between support channels without a clear path forward.

Based on how Microsoft billing works, this usually happens when a charge is tied to a different Microsoft account or a small business tenant that the card was previously used with. Microsoft billing systems are account‑based, not card‑based, which means support teams can only locate or manage a charge after signing in to the account that owns it. If you’re not signed into that specific account, the charge won’t appear in your payment history, and the “Investigate” tool may report that no charge is associated with your card.

Invoice numbers that start with “G” are commonly generated from Microsoft’s commercial (Business) billing systems. This explains why you were routed to business support, even if you don’t believe you currently have a business account. Unfortunately, without access to the owning account or tenant, Microsoft support is unable to view, cancel, or refund the charge due to security and privacy restrictions.

To help us narrow this down and avoid any more runaround, could you please let us know whether you may have created or used a Microsoft business trial or business tenant in the past (for example, a Microsoft 365 Business Basic or Azure trial), even if it was only for testing and is no longer in use?

Your detailed response will help us diagnose and investigate the issue more efficiently.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If I misunderstood what you’re looking for, feel free to let me know or share a screenshot. I’d be happy to help further!

I'm looking forward for your reply. Thank you for your cooperation.

The recurring $6.30 charge that does not appear under the card in the Investigate tool is most likely tied to either:

    1. A different Microsoft account (different email) than the one being checked, or
    2. A business/organizational subscription where the billing profile is not accessible from a personal account.

To move this forward, use these concrete steps:

    1. Check all possible Microsoft accounts and order history
      • Go to the order history page: account.microsoft.com/billing.
      • Sign out, then sign in with every email address that may ever have been used with this card (personal, work, school, old Hotmail/Outlook, etc.).
      • For each account, select Payment & billing > Order history, refine by date range that includes the recurring charge dates, and look for any Completed or Redeemed orders that match $6.30 or invoice number G146356551.
      • If found, open Order details to see what product/subscription is being billed and use the subscription or refund links below as needed.
    2. Use the official “Investigate a billing charge” flow
      • Go to the Manage your payments page from the Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate for the payment method in question, as described here: How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft.
      • If the tool still reports that no charge is associated with the card, this strongly suggests the charge is on a different account or a business/tenant profile.
    3. If it is a business/tenant charge and there is no access
      • If support has confirmed it is a business charge but there is no business login, then the subscription is likely under a different organization/tenant. In that case, Microsoft support and the self-service tools cannot cancel it without an admin signing in.
      • When Microsoft cannot locate the transaction under any accessible account and the card issuer confirms it is a Microsoft charge, the next step is to treat it as a potentially unauthorized or misapplied charge and work with the bank/credit card provider to dispute it and, if needed, block the card and reissue a new one. This is explicitly recommended when the transaction cannot be found in any Microsoft account.
    4. If the subscription is found and needs to be stopped or refunded
      • Once the subscription tied to the $6.30 charge is located in Services & subscriptions or Order history, use the Cancel subscription and Turn off recurring billing options referenced in the Microsoft account help pages.
      • If eligible, request a refund using the refund guidance in the billing help articles.
    5. If direct human assistance is still required
      • Use the general Microsoft Support contact entry point and choose a billing-related path (for example, “Billing Issue” → Get Help → sign in → Microsoft 365 and Office → Billing and Payment Updates → Confirm → Chat with a support agent). This route is specifically documented for billing issues when self-service fails.

If, after checking all possible accounts and using the Investigate tool, the charge still cannot be matched to any Microsoft subscription, the only reliable way to stop the recurring $6.30 is to have the card issuer block or replace the card and dispute the past transactions as unauthorized.
