To stop renewal of a Microsoft Teams-related subscription, cancel it in the account where it was purchased.
For a personal/home Microsoft subscription (for example Microsoft 365 that includes Teams):
- Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used to buy the subscription.
- Find the subscription that should not renew.
- Select Manage.
- If Turn on recurring billing is shown instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not renew; no further action is needed.
- On the next page, select Cancel or Cancel subscription (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on the subscription type).
- Follow the on-screen steps to finish cancellation. The subscription remains usable until the end of the current paid period.
If the subscription was purchased through a mobile app store (Google Play or Apple App Store), cancellation and any refund must be done through that store’s support, not through Microsoft.
If the subscription is specifically a Teams app subscription purchased inside Microsoft Teams:
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Select Apps > Manage your apps.
- Select the Subscriptions tab.
- Find the app subscription to cancel and select More options … > View subscription.
- Select Cancel subscription.
Only subscriptions that were personally purchased can be managed or canceled.
