    Dear @Joe Stanley,

I understand you need to remove a partner admin who has unauthorized control over your Microsoft 365 account. I will help you resolve this issue.

A partner with Delegated Admin Privileges (DAP) or Granular Delegated Admin Privileges (GDAP) has administrative access to your tenant. This typically occurs when your organization accepted a partnership offer, granting the partner Global Administrator permissions or other admin roles.

You can remove the partner's admin access directly from the Microsoft 365 admin center. You must be a Global Administrator in your tenant to perform these steps.

Step 1: Sign in and navigate

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and sign in with your Global Administrator account.
    2. In the left navigation pane, go to Settings > Partner relationships.

Please follow this guide: How to investigate service provider trust chains in the cloud

    Step 2: Remove partner roles

    1. On the Partner relationships page, locate the partner you want to remove. Partners with DAP will show Global Administrator in the Roles column.
    2. Select the row containing the partner's name.
    3. On the partner details page, click Remove roles.
    4. In the confirmation dialog, select Yes.

After completing these steps, the partner will no longer have administrative access to your tenant.

    • If the partner appears as a user in your tenant: After removing the partner relationship, also go to Users > Active Users and delete or disable any partner-related accounts to ensure all access is revoked.
    • Licensing impact: If you purchase licenses through this partner, removing the relationship does not automatically cancel your subscriptions. You will need to contact the partner or Microsoft support to transition billing to direct Microsoft billing.
    • Support transition: After removal, you can work directly with Microsoft support for future assistance.

If you are locked out or do not have Global Administrator permissions, you have two options:

    • Contact your organization's IT admin to perform the removal.
    • If no admin is available, contact Microsoft Support directly to verify ownership and assist with reclaiming administrative control.

I hope this resolves your issue. If you encounter any difficulties during the process, please let me know.
