Clarity on Onedrive storage for small business - if 5 users tenant with SPO plan 2 is eligible for 25 TB each once they recah the limit??

From your description, I understand you have a 5-user tenant on Microsoft 365 Business Standard, and you’d like to confirm whether OneDrive storage can grow beyond the default limit, specifically whether it can reach 25 TB per user once a user reaches capacity.

According to Microsoft’s OneDrive service description, Microsoft 365 Business Standard includes 1 TB of OneDrive storage per user. The same document only calls out Microsoft 365 E3/E5 as plans where OneDrive can be increased up to 5 TB.

Because of that, Business Standard isn’t documented as automatically eligible for 5 TB or 25 TB per user in the published service description.

Additional notes:

OneDrive is intended for an individual user’s personal work files. For shared/team content, SharePoint Online is typically the recommended location.

• SharePoint Online sites have a maximum size of 25 TB per site, and SharePoint storage is managed at the tenant level (separate from each user’s OneDrive quota).
