We are a Microsoft customer and we use the Teams application for our small business.

We are having a problem with the Activity tab in iOS devices.

When anyone left a message in a community post - and the people were @mention - Then the @mention  people got an activity message.

This still works 99% accurately on PC Teams application. 95%  of the time they get a message under the Activity Tab

But in Ios, you only get this message in Activity Tab about 5% of the time.

I used to get Activity message in ios like in PC.

    Hello @Wayan Gedhe Nojuhanem Dhasri

As you described, I understand that you are encountering a sync gap between the desktop and iOS versions of Teams, especially since it worked reliably before.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to see if this issue still persists:

1/ Clear the Teams App Cache

Over time, the local database on iOS can become "stale," preventing new activity items from appearing even if the push notification arrived.

    • Open Teams on your iPhone/iPad.
    • Tap your profile picture (top left) and go to "Settings".
    • Select Data and storage.
    • Tap Clear app data.
    • Restart the app and check if the mentions begin to populate the Activity tab.

    2/ Re-Authenticate the Identity Token

If the app’s security token has partially expired, it might fetch messages but fail to update the "Activity" metadata.

    • Sign out of the Teams app completely.
    • Uninstall the app.
    • Restart your iOS device (this clears the system's temporary memory).
    • Reinstall from the App Store and sign back in.

Finally, please make sure Teams app and iOS are fully updated

If you still need my assistance, please come back with screenshots or any additional details so I can review it again and see if there’s anything more I can help you with.

    Have a nice day!

On iOS, Teams mobile notifications and the Activity tab are controlled by the app’s notification settings and by how notifications are blocked when active on other devices.

For the mentioned users to reliably see @mention activity on iOS:

    1. In the Teams iOS app, go to the user’s profile picture (top left) > Notifications.
    2. Under Notifications, make sure a mode like All activity is selected so that chats, @mentions, channels, and meetings generate notifications.
    3. Still in Notifications, check Block notifications:
      • Review When active on other devices. If this toggle is turned on, Teams will block mobile notifications when the user is active on the desktop or web app. Turn this off if mobile notifications (and corresponding Activity updates) are needed even while using Teams on PC.
      • Review When in meetings and In-app notifications and adjust as needed so notifications are not being suppressed while the app is in use.

If users are getting too many notifications after changing these settings, they can re-enable Block notifications > When active on other devices so that mobile notifications resume only after they have been inactive on desktop/web for a few minutes.

For Teams Free communities specifically, the Activity tab is where notifications for chats and communities appear, and users can keep up to date there or use Mark all as read to reset the feed if it appears out of sync.

If, after confirming these settings, @mention notifications still appear inconsistently only on iOS, use the in-app feedback channel so the issue can be investigated:

    1. In the Teams iOS app, tap the profile picture.
    2. Go to Settings > Help and feedback > Send feedback and describe that community @mention activity is not consistently appearing in the Activity tab on iOS while it works on PC.
