I permanently deleted an important email for me more than 2 months ago, and I can no longer recover it. I urgently need to know if someone can help me; the email is no longer in the deleted folder.

    Hello,

Is this a personal account or a work/school account?

If it is personal account, unfortunately at this point it is not recoverable. It works as it is designed to do.

If this is a work/school account, it might be recoverable, depending on each organization's retention policy. Reach out to your organization's IT support team, they would know what the retention policy is for your organization and can recover for you if it is still within the defined retention period.

If the email is no longer in Deleted Items, the only remaining place to check is the Recoverable Items folder.

In Outlook on the web / Outlook.com:

    1. On a PC or Mac browser, in the left pane, select Deleted Items.
    2. At the top of the message list, select Recover items deleted from this folder.
    3. Look for the message in the list. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select one or more items.
    4. Select Restore.

Recovered items are restored to their original folder when possible; if that folder no longer exists, messages go to Inbox.

If the email does not appear in the Recoverable Items list, it has likely been permanently removed (for example, after the server’s retention period has expired) and cannot be recovered.
