Azure for Students verification can fail even when a valid college email address is used. Only supported, accredited institutions and eligible students can be verified, and the system may not accept every school or every scenario.

Based on similar academic verification issues, try the following:

    1. Confirm eligibility and institution support
      • Azure for Students is only for students at accredited, degree‑granting institutions and requires verification through the organization’s email address.
      • If the institution isn’t recognized by the verification system, automated verification can fail even with a valid college email.
    2. Retry verification carefully
      • When the portal offers alternative verification options (for example, “verify in a different way”), use that path and ensure all information (name, institution, email) exactly matches the college records.
      • Avoid multiple rapid attempts, which can trigger temporary blocks on verification.
    3. Use an existing Microsoft account with the university email
      • Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com with the Microsoft account intended for Azure for Students.
      • Go to Your infoManage how you sign in to Microsoft.
      • Verify identity with the security code sent to the existing sign‑in method.
      • Select Add email and add the university email address.
      • After that, try signing up for Azure for Students again using the university email as the sign‑in alias.
    4. If verification still fails
      • The self‑service system does not support manual document review (ID card, transcript, etc.) through the normal Azure for Students signup flow.
      • If the institution is not supported or the automated check continues to fail, contact the university IT/administration to confirm whether the school participates in Microsoft’s education programs and whether there is a specific signup path they provide.

For the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador program specifically, eligibility is tied to being a verified student, but the program team cannot be reached or verified through this channel. Use the official Learn Student Ambassador site and its support/contact options if the application portal provides them.
