A refund is generally not provided for missed or unused Microsoft certification exams. The standard policy is that exam fees are forfeited if the appointment is not taken and was not cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.

To avoid losing the fee in similar situations, the exam must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the appointment via the Learn profile. If a company-purchased voucher was used and the exam is not taken or not cancelled in time, the voucher is also forfeited.

For any exception requests or to explain the device issue, contact the exam delivery provider (Pearson VUE) or Microsoft Certification Support directly, as only they can review the specific case and confirm whether any accommodation or rescheduling is possible.

    Steps to manage future appointments:

    1. Log in to the Learn profile.
    2. Go to Profile → Credentials → Certifications.
    3. Find the exam appointment and select “Cancel” or “Reschedule” (this redirects to the exam provider’s site to complete the change).
