I created a Teams meeting and add individuals to be a part of it. However, none received the invite; therefore I kept clicking send; and it duplicated the invite each time.

When I try to "edit" the meeting; the system won't allow me.

So, how can I cancel Teams meeting?

    Hi @Trudy Roundtree,

Based on your sharing, these behaviors usually relate to a sync/cache issue between Outlook and Teams. I suggest you first try using Outlook Calendar instead of Teams Calendar to see whether you can edit/delete the meeting there.

For further assistance, can you share the information that when you try to edit the meeting, what exactly happened? Did you double click the meeting but there was no edit button or Teams showed up an error banner? If there is an error message, please share me the full wording of that error.

Please understand that my initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. I look forward to hearing from you.

To cancel the Teams meeting, open it from the Teams calendar and use the Delete/Cancel option. The exact steps depend on how Teams is being accessed:

If using the Teams desktop app (Windows) with keyboard and screen reader:

    1. Press Ctrl+3 to open the Calendar view.
    2. Press Tab until the meeting that needs to be canceled is selected, then press Enter to open it.
    3. Press Shift+Tab until "Delete button" is announced.
    4. Press Enter. A confirmation dialog opens.
    5. Press Enter again to confirm. The meeting is canceled and focus returns to Calendar.

If using Teams in a browser (web):

    1. With Teams open in the browser, press Ctrl+Shift+3 to go to the Calendar view.
    2. Press Tab until the meeting that needs to be canceled is selected, then press Enter.
    3. Press Shift+Tab until "Delete button" is announced.
    4. Press Enter, then Enter again in the confirmation dialog. The meeting is canceled.

    If using Teams on Mac:

    1. Press Command+3 to go to the Calendar view.
    2. Press Tab until the meeting is selected, then press Return to open it.
    3. Press Shift+Tab until "Delete" is announced.
    4. Press Return, then Return again to confirm. The meeting is canceled.

If the meeting is a webinar instead of a standard meeting:

    1. In Teams, select Calendar.
    2. Right-click the webinar event and select Cancel, or open the event and select Cancel event on the event page.
    3. Attendees are notified automatically via email.

If there are multiple duplicate meetings, repeat the cancellation steps for each duplicate entry in the calendar.
