Hello, I updated to windows 11 with my pc and change all 3 of my e-mail accounts mail all other platforms are normal and safe to me for login no issues too so I guess its not ISP problem or anything.

I cant use my other mails to recover the password because others are tied to eachother and I only have my mobile phone number which is not working atm its driving me crazy that I can't do anything or can't contact any person about this please help me about it. I have important stuff like tied gaming and social accounts on my mails. I opened that mail and I have no problem whatsoever when trying to log in!! Why that happens please help I tried to recover it through answering questions but I cant remember everything like the mails that I've sent to people or my old skype accounts accountances.

Edit: I can use my phone number but it says try another type of verification soo weird

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

This error shows "Try different device or other authentication" that you may have tried signing in too many times or there's possibly an issue with your app, browser, device, or network service, as stated by Microsoft: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/error-400-when-signing-in-7af27146-7624-4397-a374-6f8eae4367fe

But the error message you received using your recovery phone number indicates that your account is blocked due to the system detecting unusual activity.

Kindly perform these steps to fix the verification method error:

    1. Perform a password reset via Incognito/InPrivate window using different devices and network services.
    2. If it doesn't work, wait exactly 48 hours to reset the password.
    3. If the issue persists, kindly wait exactly 1 week to perform another password reset. The idea is to wait for the account lock to expire first before you reset the password, as stated in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/troubleshooting-verification-code-issues-409090c4-92b5-42b9-8ae6-bcc97e62fc48#:~:text=If%20you%20received%20a%20Microsoft%20verification%20code%20that%20you%20did#:~:text=If%20you%20received%20a%20Microsoft%20verification%20code%20that%20you%20did

Important: Please make sure not to attempt to sign in or reset the password within that timeframe (48 hours or 1 week), as this may reset the lock cooldown.

Thank you for your understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

The Outlook.com account is protected by Microsoft account security policies, so recovery is only possible through the available self-service options and existing security info.

    Steps to try:

    1. Verify the correct account and domain
      • Make sure the correct Microsoft account and domain are being used when signing in (for example, outlook.com vs outlook.co.uk, or similar variants). Small differences in the name (like rachel vs rachael) or domain can cause sign-in and recovery to fail.
      • If the username or password stopped working, use the official recovery flow: select Recover your account and enter the email, phone, or Skype name used to sign in.
    2. Use available security info
      • During recovery, Microsoft will ask where to send a security code. If any alternate email or phone is still on the account, choose one of those and follow the prompts to receive and enter the code.
      • If the email is correct but not recognized, and there is another alias or phone number on the account, try that instead.
    3. If the phone number is unavailable
      • If the only security info is a phone number that is not currently working and there is no access to any other listed method, the normal backup path is limited.
      • When prompted for verification and none of the listed options are usable, look for an I don't have any of these option. Selecting this can trigger an alternate recovery path where more detailed information is requested.
    4. Use the account recovery form carefully
      • When using the recovery form, provide as much accurate detail as possible (old passwords, contacts, subject lines, etc.). If the form is incomplete or too many details are wrong, access will not be restored.
      • If the account has two-step verification enabled, the automated recovery process cannot bypass 2FA. In that case, if none of the 2FA methods are available, recovery may not be possible.
    5. Keep security info up to date for the future
      • Once access is regained, go to the Security basics page, then Advanced security options, and add multiple security contact methods (alternate email, phone, or app). This ensures that if one method (like a phone number) stops working, another method can still be used.
      • Avoid changing or removing all security info at once, because that can trigger a 30-day restriction period on the account.

If all recovery options fail and there is no working security info or 2FA method, Microsoft support cannot override the automated systems for consumer Outlook.com accounts, and access to that mailbox and its linked services may not be restorable.
