Outlook does not support creating a reusable “custom location list” directly, but the address can be reused efficiently in two supported ways:
- Use work hours and location (for regular locations like “Office” or a specific building)
- In new Outlook or Outlook on the web, go to Settings > Calendar > Work hours and location.
- Set your usual work location (for example, home office or a specific building) for the days you want.
- Once configured, this location is available via the work-location icon on your calendar and can be applied without retyping.
- This is best for recurring locations (e.g., a regular office), not one-off addresses.
- Use an appointment template pattern for personal addresses
- Create a new appointment and type your son’s full address in the Location field.
- Optionally add any standard text in the body.
- Save the appointment.
- To reuse it, duplicate the appointment instead of creating a new one from scratch:
- In classic Outlook: select the appointment and press Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V, or hold Ctrl and drag the appointment to a new date/time to create a copy.
- In new Outlook/Outlook on the web: use the Duplicate event option (where available) to copy the appointment, then adjust date/time as needed.
- The copied appointment keeps the same Location text, so the address does not need to be retyped.
If the address is used very frequently but not tied to specific dates, combining a “template” appointment with duplication is the most direct way to avoid re-keying the location.
