How do I re-connect to the Chat line? They were working with me on a No Camera Found problem. They downloaded a Win 11 Repair ISO file and since I have a slow internet, they follow the instructions after download was finished. The instructions say to download it to a DVD but I do not have a DVD on my new laptop. What do I do with this ISO file? Can I download it to a USB flashdrive?

Before using the ISO, please try these steps for the webcam problem.

Look at the function keys (F1 - F12) on your keyboard, if one of them has a camera icon, press that key or Fn + that key to unlock the webcam.

If that was not the problem, look at the camera lens above your screen, is there a small privacy slider that needs to be opened to access the webcam?

If the webcam is still not working, go to the support page for your laptop on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and re-install the version of webcam drivers they provide.

If the webcam is still not working, if you have the ISO downloaded, you do not need a DVD or USB, you can use these steps to perform an in-place repair with the ISO.

    Disconnect from the Internet

Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.

Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed

Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the Install option.

At the start of the process, you will be asked if you want to download other updates, select No.

Very Important - ensure you select the option to keep your files and apps.

To continue fixing the “No camera found” issue and use the Windows 11 ISO that was downloaded, the ISO can be used from a USB flash drive instead of a DVD.

    Use these steps:

    1. On a working Windows PC, create installation media on a USB drive using the ISO:
      • Insert a USB flash drive (8 GB or larger).
      • Use the installation media creation process described in the Windows recovery guidance to put Windows setup on the USB instead of a DVD. This creates a bootable USB that replaces the DVD step mentioned in the instructions.
    2. Boot the affected laptop from the USB:
      • Insert the USB into the laptop with the camera issue.
      • Restart and use the boot menu key (often F12, Esc, or similar) to choose the USB drive.
      • Follow the same repair or reinstall steps support gave, but select the USB drive as the installation media instead of a DVD.

If the PC will not start or recovery options do not work, the ISO on USB is used to perform a repair install or full reinstall of Windows, as described in the recovery article.

For reconnecting to the Microsoft chat line, open the Get Help app again on Windows and start a new support session, or use the support contact paths shown in the Q&A references to reach a live agent and let them know the session was interrupted.
