Problems with Office transfer

Bought new Surface to replace old. Load Office. Computer died within a couple of days. Returned it to Best Buy. Got a new computer. But now I can't load Office on to it because it says Office is loaded on another computer. I need to cancel that computer office and reload it on to my new computer.

Hi Terrence, because you could not uninstall your Office from your old computer Microsoft servers think that you are trying to install your Office on a second computer. You must contact Microsoft Support to 'deactivate/delink' the installation on the old computer. Enter>Contact Support>Get help>Chat with agent>You need to sign in with the Microsoft Account associated with your Office at bottom of page where it say contact Microsoft Support

Hi Falk,

It must be tied to your account. To deactivate the current install, with the same Microsoft account, go to:

https://account.microsoft.com/services?refd=account.microsoft.com

You should be able to deactivate from there.
