I want to erase all saved passwords in Edge.

I’ve tried everything, but after deleting them one by one, they keep coming back.

I’ve also tried resetting the Edge settings, unsyncing the passwords tab, clearing browsing data, and more, but nothing has worked.

If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it."

I've found a solution to this problem. It is true that you cannot bulk-delete passwords from the Windows version of Edge (for me, ver. 147.0.3912.98). I was able to get around this by installing Edge on my Android phone. The history delete option on Android Edge allows for password deletion, so just sign in and sync your account, then delete from your phone.

    1. Delete your Microsoft profile from your desktop machine's Edge
    2. Install Microsoft Edge AI browser on your mobile phone
    3. Sign in to your MS account on your mobile edge browser
    4. On your phone, clear your browsing data for ALL TIME (default is 15 min) and be sure to include passwords
    5. Click on your profile on your phone and click "Reset sync server data"
    6. Once that finishes, go to your desktop Edge session and re-sign in with your profile

Once that sync finishes, you should be able to verify that your passwords are all cleared.

    Hi,

It does seem like there’s no option for Passwords when clearing browsing data, and it’s unclear whether that’s intentional or a bug. If your passwords keep reappearing, it’s likely because your synced data from the server is restoring them, including your saved passwords. In this case, you can try resetting your sync data from the server in Settings > Profiles > Sync > Reset sync data from Microsoft servers. I can't remember if this will affect Workspaces, but you can use this extension to export your Favorites per workspace as backup in case it got affected.

If that doesn't work, you can go to Settings > Profiles > Sync, then sign out and choose the option to clear favorites, history, and passwords before proceeding. After that, you can sign back into your account. This method works if you’re okay with wiping everything and starting fresh.

To erase all saved passwords in Microsoft Edge and prevent them from reappearing, clear them from both the local browser data and from any synced profile data, then turn off saving going forward.

    1. Delete all saved passwords from Edge
      1. Open Edge.
      2. Select Settings and more (⋯) > Settings.
      3. Go to Privacy, search, and services.
      4. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear next to Clear browsing data now.
      5. Set Time range to All time.
      6. Check Passwords (scroll down if needed).
      7. Select Clear now.
This removes all passwords stored on the device (and, if sync is on, across synced devices).
    2. Make sure password saving is disabled so new ones are not recreated
      1. In Edge, go to Settings and more (⋯) > Settings.
      2. Select Profiles > Passwords.
      3. Turn Offer to save passwords to Off.
Turning this off stops Edge from offering to save passwords again. Previously saved passwords are already removed by step 1.
    3. If passwords still reappear, repeat on every device using the same profile Because passwords can sync across devices, repeat step 1 on each device where the same Edge profile is signed in and syncing. Ensure sync is turned off for passwords while doing this, then turn it back on only after all devices have been cleared.
