It's unfortunate to hear that your account has been hacked. However, this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas. In this case, please try to submit an account recovery form at aka.ms/recovermyaccount or contact Microsoft Support. Thank you for your understanding.

    • Type Live chat in the search box.
    • Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support or Sign in to contact support below.
    • Go to the Products and services tab, and choose Other products
    • On the Category tab, choose Billing and Account Profile questions
    • Go to Confirm.
    • You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.

The purchase screenshot alone is not enough to move Minecraft from the stolen Microsoft account to a new one. The only supported path is to try to recover the stolen Microsoft account first; if that fails, Minecraft ownership generally cannot be transferred.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Use the Microsoft hacked-account troubleshooter
      • Go to the official guide "How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account" and start the Sign-in Helper tool.
      • Enter the email or phone that was used on the stolen Microsoft account.
      • Follow the steps shown; the tool will either give self-service options or a way to talk to an agent.
    2. If sign-in or reset fails, submit the account recovery form
      • From the Sign-in Helper, proceed to the Microsoft account recovery form when prompted.
      • Use an alternate, working email address where Microsoft can contact you.
      • Provide as much accurate information as possible (old passwords, when the account was created, services used, etc.). The purchase email for Minecraft can help you answer questions about purchases.
      • Microsoft will review and respond, usually within 24 hours.
    3. If recovery is declined repeatedly
      • If the recovery form and hacked-account guide do not restore access, there is no other supported way for Microsoft Support to bypass security or move the game license to a different Microsoft account.
      • In that case, contact Minecraft Support separately to ask if they can help with your Minecraft profile or provide any alternative options, but be aware that if the Microsoft account cannot be recovered, options are very limited.

If access to the Microsoft account is restored, Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition will automatically be available again under that account, and it can be installed on devices where you sign in with that recovered account.
