I cannot change my computer interface language and there is a password

Question

I have a password on my computer it is in Arabic but the interface language is English so before I type it I change it into Arabic. Now I cannot change it into Arabic even though I type shift+alt (right hand). I know the password but when I type it appears in English. What can I do

At the Windows sign-in screen, the keyboard layout must be switched to Arabic before entering the password. Changing the Windows display language alone does not change the keyboard layout.

Use these steps at the sign-in screen:

1. On the sign-in screen, look for the input language icon near the network/power icons (for example, it might show ENG for English).
2. Click that icon and select the Arabic keyboard layout from the list.
3. After switching to Arabic, type the password again.

If the Arabic layout is not available there, it means the keyboard layout was removed or changed inside Windows. In that case, sign in using any working method (for example, another account or on-screen keyboard if available), then:

1. Open Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.
2. Make sure the Arabic language and keyboard/input layout are installed.
3. If needed, add the Arabic language and keyboard, then sign out and back in.

Note that changing the Windows display language can also change the keyboard layout. The input language icon on the sign-on screen always shows which layout is currently active, and it can be changed there without changing the display language.
