I had office pro 2021 installed and wanted to upgrade to 2024. I uninstalled the Office Pro version 2021 with standard uninstall procedure. Then I installed office pro 2024 - entered the 2024 product key - activated ok, but all office apps show Office Pro 2021 as the active version.

Thx for the response but that did not work. I finally got it to work by uninstalling Visio 2021 and Project 2021, removing the licenses for each then installing Office Pro 2024. All set now.
I'm glad you got it sorted. However, note that if you purchased Office Professional 2024 and the seller led you to believe that you purchased a consumer (home use) license, then you have been scammed. Office Professional 2024 is a volume license product intended for organizations such as businesses.
